African Immigrant Experience

Multi-unit educational guide for K-12 grade levels with lesson plans and activities focusing on the life and experience of African immigrant communities in Pennsylvania. Topics featured include the refugee experience, why African immigrants are leaving their homes, and their work, families, and communities in Pennsylvania. The site includes transcripts of oral history interviews with African immigrants from Eritrea, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Mauritania, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Kenya, and Ethiopia. The Colonia Mexicana of Bethlehem Steel
